Uorfi Javed not interested in Bollywood, but reality TV

In a surprising turn of events, social media influencer and actress Uorfi Javed has revealed that her aspirations have shifted from the glitz and glamour of Bollywood to the realm of reality television. Javed, who currently appears on Prime Video’s reality series “Follow Kar Lo Yaar”, expressed her desire to become India’s premier reality TV star, leaving her Bollywood dreams behind.

“Bollywood is not the dream any more. I want to be the biggest reality TV star in India and be an entrepreneur. Today, we’ve so many different career options to explore, which we were not aware of and didn’t think were possible to get into,” Javed told PTI in an interview.

Javed’s journey in the entertainment industry began in 2016 with TV shows like ‘Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania’, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, and ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’. Earlier this year, she made a cameo appearance as herself in Dibarkar Banerjee’s ‘LSD 2’.

Reflecting on her career path, Javed acknowledged the challenges she faced, stating, “I started from zero, I knew no one here, had no idea how to do or get work, I had this dream to do something big here.” Despite the obstacles, Javed’s unique and bold fashion sense propelled her to popularity on social media and in the media at large.

Javed’s appearance on the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ OTT as a contestant marked a significant turning point in her career, despite her short stay on the show. The actor-influencer expressed her comfort with fame, stating, “Somewhere all my life I knew I was meant for this, I never felt out of place.”

“Follow Kar Lo Yaar”, a nine-episode series released on August 23, provides an unfiltered glimpse into Uorfi’s life and her journey through showbiz. Javed acknowledged the surreal feeling of having a show dedicated to her life, saying, “There are times when I think, ‘There’s a show on me, wow, did I do it?’ But the next day, I feel, ‘Maja nahi aa raha hai, I want to do something bigger than this’.”

Despite the trolling and judgments she faces for her fashion choices, Javed remains unfazed, stating, “The moment you try to change yourself based on those judgments you lose your authenticity, you will never become the person you’ve to become, that the universe has planned for you.” Her unwavering spirit and determination have undoubtedly contributed to her success.

As Uorfi Javed embarks on this new chapter of her career, focusing on reality TV stardom, it remains to be seen how her journey unfolds and whether she can achieve her ambitious goal of becoming the biggest reality TV star in India.
